Rotterdam Shore Power (RSP) and Heijmans have officially joined forces for the preparation and realisation of the 66 kV intake station for shore power at the Hutchison Ports ECT Euromax container terminal.

To run the world’s largest container ships on green electricity at the quay, a robust energy infrastructure is needed. The new intake station will be linked to a converter station that converts voltage and frequency, so that the shore power is suitable for moored ships.

The project is being carried out according to a two-phase approach. From the first visualisations to the architectural delivery, one integrated project team works together. In this way, we combine our expertise to realize the intake station as quickly and efficiently as possible. Heijmans is in charge, monitors the result and works closely with its project partners Cordeel Nederland, responsible for the architectural design and realisation, and Stedin for the technical installation part.

We are pleased to start preparations for the intake station for shore power at the ECT Rotterdam (Europe Container Terminals) with all parties involved.
And thus take another step together towards more clean air and a quieter port.

Engines off, shore power on.
