Shore Power for Shipping Lines

RSP provides reliable and affordable shore power for moored vessels. Shipping lines can request shore power prior to arrival through a service that is fully integrated into daily port operations. Once a request has been submitted, RSP takes care of the rest – from safe connection and disconnection at the quay to invoicing and online consumption insights.

  • RSP provides shore power at the quay through a plug-and-play solution that is fully integrated into the port authorities’ management systems. Shipping lines can request shore power as a service before arrival at the port.

  • At the quay, we facilitate the safe connection and disconnection of vessels to and from the shore power system; this is an integral part of our service.

  • All shore power system components comply with international standards, enabling seamless connection for any vessel equipped for shore power.

  • Shipping lines can rely on market-based electricity pricing and access to an online portal providing daily insight into shore power consumption and associated costs.

  • All shore power installations are monitored 24/7, ensuring a safe, reliable and continuous supply of renewable electricity.

From 1 January 2030, under the Fuel EU Maritime Regulation, shipping lines operating cruise vessels, ferries and container ships of 5,000 GT or above that are berthed for at least two hours will be required to use shore power where it is available.
